Overview#

The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) is a philanthropic organization dedicated to advancing scientific research, education, and justice through technology-driven solutions. A core pillar of CZI’s mission is supporting open science and open source software initiatives that drive innovation in biomedical and computational research.

CZI funding opportunities are open to organizations worldwide, provided the proposed work complies with the United States Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) sanctions program.

Eligible applicants include:

  • Non-profit and for-profit organizations

  • Public and private institutions (colleges, universities, hospitals, research laboratories)
