General Description#

The lab, in partnership with the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Oregon State University, provides hosting for more than 160 projects, including those of worldwide leaders like the Apache Software Foundation, the Linux Foundation and Drupal. The lab partners with industry leaders and policy makers to bring open source technologies to new sectors, including education, health and government.

Other context#

The Oregon State Business Solutions Group and OSL have partnered to form the Center for Applied Systems and Software (CASS) within the EECS school. Throughout the whole project lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and hosting, CASS offers its clients services. Through this collaboration, each organization is able to keep their distinct identity while pooling their knowledge and resources to take on more ambitious projects.
