General Description#
The UTD-OSPO is committed to guiding the development, use and management of open source software for UTD faculty and student researchers.
The OSPO aims to enable sustainable solutions for research and to drive the sharing of the innovative work of UTD researchers with the global community.
Core Objectives#
Core activities will focus on the provision of training and resources on development best practices, planning for open source software integration throughout the research lifecycle, and open source licensing.

The UTD OSPO is part of the Texas-OSPO network of Open Source Program Offices across the University of Texas system. Texas-OSPO will act as a centralized resource to offer open source best practices and to provide training and consultation services across its campuses, while connecting a systemwide community of researchers and developers.
